1962 Lotus Super Seven

This vehicle has been sold. View our available inventory here.

This authentic Lotus Seven is a true vintage racecar with a lovely patina. The chassis plate and frame number match with factory records, and the car has most items necessary for street use in most states. It was registered recently.

The SB-1545 is one of the original left-hand drive Series 2 Sevens built by Lotus Components Ltd. It ran as an SCCA racer in the early 70’s (notably F-Prod by Chuck Cotterell and the Royal Auckland Fusiliers in the Ohio region).

By the early 1980’s the car ended up at Howard Wests’ Vintage Sports Car Warehouse in Pittsburg. It was purchased by Graham Straub, who had intentions to rebuild it as a bulletproof street machine, with all of the shortcomings of the Series 2 engineered out. The restoration was completed by Red-Line racing in Pittsburg.

SB-1545 was the cover car for the 1985 Pittsburg Vintage Grand Prix program.

Car runs and drives very well, but it needs repair to small leak in radiator, and bushings in shift linkage need to be replaced. The speedometer is inoperable.
