1976 Greenwood Corvette SOLD

This vehicle has been sold. View our available inventory here.

Chassis 010 was built by John Greenwood for Jim Mancuso to race in the SCCA Trans Am series. 010 is unique as it has the wider Greenwood front fenders but L88 style rear fenders. This was required for it to comply with the 1976/77 SCCA Trans Am race series. The car was campaigned by Jim Mancuso and at times with Bill Coykendall as a secondary driver.

After being raced in the SCCA trans am series, the vehicle was stored for several years until it was restored and raced by Jim’s son Sam Mancuso during the mid 1990’s.

In 2004, 010 was purchased by Mike Sepe, who fixed a few areas where the vehicle was missing or needed some minor restoration.

A new front air intake was fabricated (original was in need of replacement). and the engine oil cooler was re-mounted on the right front side of the vehicle with new oil lines and a remote oil filter which was mounted under the left front fender and attached to the roll cage forward support.

The original fuel cell is still in the vehicle, and it was restored to original condition two years ago with new foam, powder coated can and top. The original fuel pumps were also replaced with the exact type the car had when purchased. New fuel lines were fabricated to match the old existing lines.

The current engine has a Demon Carburetor, which was rebuilt approximately two years ago.  No fuel has been run through the fuel cell, lines carburetor, etc.

SCCA roll bar stamp and Trans Am brass plague can be found on the roll bar.

When purchased, the car was test driven and ran very strong with no issues. The transmission when driven, shifted properly along with the clutch and rear end operation. In addition, the clutch operated as designed with no visible issues noted.

Since that time, the Greenwood has been stored in a secure temperature controlled garage and has not run. All coolant and oil was drained from the engine, and radiator for storage. All Greenwood items, such as the large Greenwood installed machine oil pressure gauge,  Greenwood style dash and instrument cluster, and the original steering wheel are included with the vehicle.

All that is required for this vehicle to run is new valve springs and the brake lines need to be flushed and bled.
