McLaren M4A Formula Two,  This car is restored to the absolute highest standards, Tub rebuilt by Marc Bahner using original bulkheads, Cosworth FVa engine rebuilt by Dave Vegher,  Hewland FT200 gearbox rebuilt by J&L Fabrication with all new internals , completely REM treated.  FIA papers , Official McLaren Verification statement, Photos History from new , raced in F2 series by Chequered Flag Racing Team  , driven by Ian Ashley and Pierre Courage.Mclaren M4A , Chassis Number 200-13F,M4A -1967  In 1967 Robin Herd produced three major design: Can-Am, Formula 1 and Formula 2. The M4A was a  monocoque for Formula 2 . Chassis: Bathtub monocoque formed from aluminium paneling bonded and riveted to four mild steel bulkheads  Suspension: Single top link with radius arms and lower wishbones, outboard coil spring/shock units and anti-roll bar in front. Twin radius arms, reversed lower wishbones and single top links with outboard coil spring/shock units at rear. McLaren-Elva cast magnesium wheels, 13 x 7 front, 13 x 10 rear (5.00 and 6.25 – 13 tyres)  Brakes: Girling or Lockheed 10½ inch discs all around with AR calipers  Body: Formed by monocoque sides plus fibreglass nose cone and cockpit surround  Engine: Cosworth-Ford FVA 1600cc 4-cylinder unit with five-speed Hewland FT200 transaxle  Dimensions: Wheelbase 90 inches, front track 54 inches, rear track 54 inches, overall length 121 inches , height 30 inches, weight 830 pounds.  We have a letter from Graham Werner (who ran Chequered Flag Racing, which was essentially the factory F2/F3 team he bought from Bruce McLaren) stating he purchased two M4’s in F2 configuration in 1967. This car was delivered to Chequered Flag in November 1967. The car is completely restored and ready to race. With spares included. Full FIA HTP papers,  The FVA in the McLaren has only one race weekend (approximately 1.25 hours) on it since being completely rebuilt by Dave Vegher .1967 McLaren MK4A, First owned by Chequered Flag Racing Team and driven by Pierre Courage and Ian Ashley. Has a perfect tub by Marc Bahner with all original Bulkheads, Cosworth FVA engine built by Dave Vegher with only one event. Gearbox completely rebuilt with all new internals at a cost of $35,000. Body is perfect with no previous repairs. Everything is as original and close to perfect as possible.Includes muffled exhaust and a straight exhaust .Many photos, even photos when car was first delivered to Chequered Flag Racing Team.
